How I Started My Running Journey

I have been running on and off for about 3 years now. What motivated my journey at first was weight loss. I had just graduated from college and had gained a lot of weight due to eating a lot of fast food and drinking almost every night.

When I attempted to kick my butt into shape nothing was motivating me to work out After a year of trying to go to the gym and not seeing results due to procrastination, I decided to sign up for the Broad Street Run in Philadelphia. This is what really motivated me. I had to run 10 miles with out looking like a fool in front of all of Philadelphia.

After a few months of training I started seeing results in how I looked and I felt good mentally and physically. I loved seeing my self get stronger and stronger and my time getting lower and lower. I went on to do multiple runs through out the years.

Last year I experienced a lull in training. I bought a house with my amazing boyfriend and got a dog. This made life surprisingly busy. I thought my dog would be my running buddy but he is easily distracted.

I now work from home and no longer have a commute which gives me more time to RUN! So in short this blog is about my current training plan for the Philadelphia Half Marathon. I want to do my best this time around and since its fun to track my progress I decided to start a blog about it. So here ya go, enjoy!
