Week 2 Training- Tabata Tuesday

Tuesday…the worst day of the week. I was exhausted by the time 5PM came around. I fell asleep on the couch as soon as I signed off of work. I almost made it a rest day, but I thought back to last week and didn’t want to throw off my schedule again. I decided to relax a little and unwind before working out. I looked up Tabata work outs while watching a few episodes of Chopped before hitting the gym. I found today’s Tabata work out on Self.com. It is a stationary bike Tabata work out and it kicked my butt. I recommend doing this work out on a cycling bike (the kind you see at Flywheel or any cycling studio). That way you can just press the torque during the rest set instead of pushing an arrow up and down. But I would totally do this work out again!

After my Tabata training I did some reps of bicep curls, sit ups with weights, and a glider work out.

When I was leaving the gym “Strong Enough” by Cher came on my playlist and it was the perfect song to walk home to. I realized that if I did not get up to go to the gym I would have felt disappointed in myself. The feeling of strength after completing a work out is 1000x better than the feeling of not going to the gym at all.
