Week 1 Training- Manic Monday

This is my first official post! I want to start off by documenting my goals.

I want to get my average running time down by 2 Minutes! Yes by 2 Minutes!! I am not sure if that is physically possible, but I am from the city that brought you the greatest underdogs of all time–Rocky and the Philadelphia Eagles. If they can make their dreams come true I can too.

I have been running on and off through out the summer, but I want this week to be my first serious week of training. The Half Marathon I am training for is only 15 Weeks away! So its time to take this seriously. Below are my goals for the week. I did run today (Go Me!). My goal was 2.5 and I ran 2.25. Just under what I wanted my goal to be. I don’t want to make excuses, but it was pretty humid today and I had 3 slices of left over pizza for lunch.

I guess a pro of having this blog is facing the excuses I make for myself in training. I will leave you all with the inspirational quote below. Hopefully it will inspire me to not pay attention to the pebbles in my shoes.
